Ellen Adarna absent at child abuse case hearing

Ellen Adarna and her counsel didn’t show up Monday at the preliminary hearing of the child abuse and cybercrime complaint filed against her by a Myra Abo Santos, the mother of the 17-year-old girl whose photos the actress uploaded on her Instagram page as a reaction to the youth supposedly taking photos of her.
The initial investigation of the case was scheduled at the Pasig City Prosecutor’s Office.
According to a report on ABS CBN News, the Santos family were seen at the venue as accompanied by their legal counsel.
After a few hours, with Adarna and her counsel still nowhere in sight, the investigation prosecutor decided to eventually reschedule another hearing on June 11.
Several observers surmised Adarna’s absence might have been in relation to reports about her father, hotel magnate Alan Adarna, succumbing to cardiac arrest on Thursday.
The actress, whose activities on social media are always a topic of interest, has been quiet about her father’s reported death as with the case, so far.
Meanwhile, rumors about her carrying the child of actor John Lloyd Cruz persist.
