Fake cop arrested in Manila
MANILA police arrested a man posing as an officer on Monday.
The MPD Moriones-Tondo Police Station (MPD PS-2) apprehended Hardy Radomes, 18, along Quiricada Street corner Jose Abad Santos Avenue.
Initial investigation showed that Radomes, a resident of Dagupan, Tondo, was aboard a motorcycle without a plate number and wearing a police uniform. He failed to present a badge as well as his driver’s license and the official receipt (OR/CR) of his motorcycle.
The suspect underwent mandatory medico-legal tests at the Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center before being temporarily detained at the PS-5 Detention Facility.
Charges for violation of the Republic Act 4136 (driving without license and OR/CR), Revised Penal Code (RPC) Article 177 (usurpation of authority) and RPC Article 179 (illegal use of uniform and insignia) will be filed against Radomes before the Manila City Prosecutor’s Office. KIM MALAIT
