DID YOU KNOW: June is National Kidney Month

National Kidney Month is observed every June by virtue of Proclamation No. 184 signed on May 31, 1993 by then President Fidel Ramos.

According to the proclamation, about 60,000 deaths occur annually due to serious kidney ailments so it is necessary to instill consciousness and public awareness of the fatal consequences of renal diseases. —Marielle Medina
