School teacher wounded in shooting incident Lanao del Sur town
ILIGAN CITY – An Arabic school teacher was wounded after a sibling shot him during an altercation in Poona Bayabao town in Lanao del Sur on Tuesday evening, the police reported on Wednesday.
Senior Inspector Jemar delos Santos, the information officer of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) police, identified the victim as Hanim Bascara.
Delos Santos said the suspect, Acmad Bascara, shot Hanim on the left leg during a heated debate over a still undetermined issue around 9 p.m.
Acmad fled as responding authorities were arriving, he said.The victim was rushed to a hospital for treatment. A manhunt is on against Acmad. /ee
