LPA to bring rains over Eastern Visayas, Bicol

THE trough of a low pressure area (LPA) will bring light to moderate rains over Eastern Visayas and Bicol region, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said on Wednesday morning.

The state-run weather bureau said the LPA was 100 kilometers (km) east of Daet, Camarines Norte as of 9 a.m.

The southwest monsoon or habagat will continue to bring cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and isolated thunderstorms over the Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), Batanes, and Babuyan Group of Islands.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers caused by localized thunderstorms.

Winds would be moderate to strong from the southwest over Luzon with moderate to rough coastal waters.

Over the rest of the country, winds willl be light to moderate from the south to southwest direction with slight to moderate seas, Pagasa said.
