Two killed in Caloocan anti-drug ops

Two suspected drug pushers were killed in a buy-bust operation by elements of the Special Operations Unit and the Drug Enforcement Unit of the Caloocan City Police on Saturday night.

According to a report from the Caloocan Police, police officers transacted with the slain suspects, who were identified only as alias Alvin and alias Itot, at 888 Libis Baesa, Barangay 160 of Caloocan.

Upon sensing that they were talking with undercover police officers, the suspects reportedly drew their guns and opened fire at PO1 Rodolfo Caliboso Jr. and PO1 Jowelle del Rosario.

This prompted the policemen to return fire, killing the suspects on the spot.

Five sachets of suspected shabu, the marked money amounting to P500, and a .38 revolver with five live ammunitions were recovered from Alvin, and another loaded .38 revolver from Itot. /ee
