PDEA seizes P6.8-M worth of shabu in Taguig buy-bust

Authorities of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) have seized P6.8 million worth of shabu during a buy-bust operation in Taguig City, the agency said on Monday.

PDEA agents said that about one kilogram of shabu or methamphetamine hydrochloride was seized during the buy-bust operation.

The operation also led to the arrest of two suspects identified as Nor Abbas Canaccan and Abduladziz Bansil Lumabo.

According to PDEA Director General Aaron Aquino, the operation was conducted at the parking area of Puregold, FTI, Taguig at about 2:45 p.m. last Thursday, July 26.

Both Lumabo and Canaccan will face charges for violating Republic Act 9165 otherwise known as The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

The operation was done by PDEA Special Enforcement Service (SES) agents with the supervision of PDEA SES Director Levi Ortiz.   /vvp
