3 policemen, civilian arrested for extorrion in Valenzuela

THREE policemen and one civilian were arrested in an entrapment operation in Valenzuela City for alleged extortion.

The Counter-Intelligence Task Force (CITF) reported that SPO4 Serrafin Adante, PO1 Ryan Paul Antimaro, PO1 Rey Harvey Florano, and Amado Baldon Jr. were arrested along Mindanao Ave. Extension, Barangay Ugong, Valenzuela City at 9:15 p.m. on Tuesday.

An intel packet from the Philippine National Police – Intelligence Group said the suspects were demanding from P200 to P500 from junk shop owners in the city every night.

Police operatives seized P200 in marked money and several other bills of different denominations from the suspects who are now under the custody of CITF for documentation and proper disposition.

The arrest came less than 24 hours after a shootout in Taguig City also involving rogue policemen resulted in the death of one and apprehension of three others.

Charges of kidnapping and robbery are being readied against these erring lawmen.
