PDEA drug bust in Bulacan yields P2.9M ‘shabu’

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — Around P2.9-million worth of shabu (crystal meth) were seized by agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and the Meycauayan City police in a drug operation on Tuesday at a fast food store in Barangay (village) Malhacan.

Operatives arrested suspected drug traffickers John Paul Palanca, a resident of Valenzuela City; and Marivic Solveto, a Marilao City resident, according to PDEA Central Luzon chief Gil Pabilona in a report on Wednesday.

He said the arrest ended a month-long operation to take down the two drug peddlers who are being held at the PDEA regional jail in this Pampanga capital.

They face charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. /kga
