8 drug suspects nabbed in weekend raid in Taguig

EIGHT suspects were arrested in separate anti-drug operations in Taguig City over the weekend.

Taguig Special Drug Enforcement Unit officer Salvador Camacho, who led the anti-drug operations on Saturday, said the first six suspects were caught “in the middle of a drug session” in Barangay Tuktukan at 7:20 p.m.

Four pieces of heat-sealed plastic containing “shabu” and drug paraphernalia were recovered from Jose Valentino De Castro, Ranilo Bradecina, Rolly Ordoñez, Christian Paulino and Jolly Cabrera.

Ramirenzo Frondoza and John Mark Angeles were arrested at 3 a.m. on Sunday in Barangay Ususan after they were found in possession of two sachets of shabu following an anti-criminal operation in the area.

Gideon Salude was also caught in Barangay Katuparan at 4a.m.  with a sachet of shabu when he was flagged down by police for loitering and could not give “a good account” of his presence in the area.

All eight suspects were brought to the Taguig SDEU office for investigation. Necessary documents were then filed at the Taguig City Prosecutors Office for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. NEIL JAYSON N. SERVALLOS
