Zambales road crash: 4 die, toddler survives

CABANGAN, Zambales —-  A three-year-old-girl survived a fatal road crash that killed four people in Barangay (village) San Rafael here on Friday afternoon.

Senior Insp. Marvin Domacena, chief of Cabangan Municipal Police Station, said the unidentified girl was unscathed but three people who were with her in a gray sedan died. The names of the three fatalities were not yet available as of this posting.

The car collided with a gray SUV, which passenger — Maria Ofelia Ebue — also died.

According to the SUV driver, Gilbert Elorde, they were headed north along the national highway at around 2:30 p.m. when the south-bound car suddenly swerved into the opposite lane, resulting in a head-on collision. /kga
