Mar Roxas to run for Roxas City mayor? ‘Let’s see how it goes’
Former Interior Secretary Mar Roxas confirmed on Tuesday that he was being prodded by local officials of Roxas City to run for mayor.
“The locals asked me to consider it,” Roxas told INQUIRER.net when asked to confirm reports about his possible mayoralty bid in the area.
Pressed if he would consider the suggestion, he said: “Mayroong ibat ibang paraan namang tumulong.”
“Let’s see how it goes,” added Roxas.
Roxas was also a former senator before he joined the Cabinet of former President Benigno Aquino III.
Roxas ran but lost to President Rodrigo Duterte in the 2016 elections. /vvp
