Heavy rains expected over Pampanga, other parts of Luzon

Heavy to intense rainshowers with lighting and strong winds are expected over Pampanga on Sunday, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

At 4:30 p.m., Pagasa also predicted heavy rainfall to persist within the next two hours over areas of Metro Manila, Rizal, Laguna, Bulacan, Bataan, and Zambales.

Pagasa said  Typhoon “Ompong” (internationally known as “Mangkhut”) was moving 25 kilometers per hour northwest of Laoag City with maximum sustained winds of 160 kph, with a gustiness reaching up to 195 kph. /ee
