Men banned from Texas shooting range after posing for selfie with gun

A shooting range in Houston, Texas has banned two men “for life” for posing for a selfie with a gun on Oct. 5.

Great job from our Range Safety Officer in stopping and addressing a safety violation on the range. The former customer brought in his own weapon for him and his friend to shoot. They were given a safety brief and still broke range rules once they went out to shoot. After they were promptly removed from the range, we covered which rules they broke and then banned them for life from the range. We take safety very seriously here at Top Gun Range, and we pride ourselves in having the best staff in Texas.

Top Gun Range posted CCTV footage on its Facebook page on Oct. 11 of a customer posing for a selfie with an unloaded gun, before taking another photo of him pointing the gun at his friend’s face.

In the footage, a safety officer intervenes and escorts the pair out of the shooting range. The range said the men had been given a safety brief before entering.

“After they were promptly removed from the range, we covered which rules they broke and then banned them for life,” the range said. JB
