Classes suspended in Luzon areas ahead of ‘Rosita’

Classes in several schools in the Northern Luzon have been declared suspended for at least three days in anticipation of Typhoon “Rosita.”

The local government councils announced the suspension of classes in the following areas:

Monday
Cagayan Province
Lingayen, Pangasinan
San Fernando, La Union
Baler, Aurora

The weather bureau has raised Signal No. 2 over five areas while Signal No. 1 was hoisted in 24 areas in Luzon.

Despite this, Rosita has weakened on Monday morning having a maximum sustained winds of 170 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center and gusts of up to 210 kph. It was moving west southwest 15 kph. /cbb
