LPA to bring rain in parts of Visayas, Mindanao — Pagasa

THE Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) is monitoring a low pressure area (LPA) that is forecast to bring rain in parts of Visayas and Mindanao.

In its 4 a.m. bulletin on Tuesday, the state-run weather bureau said the LPA was estimated at 235 kilometers (kms) east-southeast of Davao City, Davao del Sur.

Cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms because of the LPA will also be experienced over the province of Palawan.

Metro Manila and the rest of the Luzon are also expected to experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains.

Northern Luzon and the eastern sections of Central and Southern Luzon, in the Visayas, and Mindanao will experience moderate to strong winds.

Pagasa said that possible flash floods or landslides due to the LPA may occur in the affected areas. LIEZELLE ROY
