Golden Bria profit up 79% to P915M

GOLDEN Bria Holdings, Inc.’s net income increased to P915 million in the first nine months of 2018 on the back of strong sales from its memorial lots and residential projects.

In a disclosure on Friday, the Villar-led real estate company said the amount was a 79-percent jump from P510 million in the same period last year.

Consolidated sales from residential and memorial lots rose by 59 percent to P2.47 billion from P3.93 billion year-on-year.

The group’s deathcare unit Golden Haven boosted its chapel services income to P27.2 million in the first three quarters from P8.66 million.

“Being present in every hometown is [what] Golden Bria aims to achieve,” Golden Bria Chairman Manuel “Manny” Villar Jr. said.

“We will continue to open more projects in new areas around the Philippines from our over 60 locations to date,” he added.

Golden Bria currently has more than 750 hectares (has) of land nationwide, of which 600 has are for housing developments.

Through its subsidiaries Bria Homes and Golden Haven, the company has more than 40 residential developments and 26 memorial parks, respectively.|

Shares of Golden Bria climbed by P1 to P320 apiece on Friday, in line with the Philippine Stock Exchange index’s 1.88-percent gain.
