Man dies after vehicle hit him in Gensan-Digos highway

HAGONOY, DAVAO DEL SUR – A widower was declared dead on arrival at the Davao del Sur Provincial Hospital after he was hit by a red Mitsubishi Montero as he was crossing the national highway around 9 p.m. on Monday in Barangay Leling here.
PO2 Jake Comabig, traffic investigator, said Romeo Padogdog Templa, 60, a resident here, was crossing the highway when he was hit by the vehicle driven by Sanny Galas Caluya, 39, heading home to Banga, South Cotabato.
Due to the impact, Comabig said the victim was smashed on the pavement and suffered multiple injuries.
Templa was brought to Davao del Sur Provincial Hospital but was declared dead on arrival by attending physician.
Comabig said the driver and the vehicle were now under police custody. ORLANDO B. DINOY
