Batangas road accident: 3 die, 11 hurt

MANILA, Philippines — Three persons were killed while 11 others were injured in a vehicular accident in Barangay Laiya-Aplaya in San Juan, Batangas on Friday.
Police identified the fatalities as John Eric Gamil, Borito Santos, and an alias Popoy. All three were declared dead on arrival at the hospital.
A report from Calabarzon police indicated the incident happened around 3 a.m., involving a car driven by Kelly Villanueva and a tricycle driven by a certain Levy Gamil.
Police said the tricycle was heading towards Barangay Hugom when it was hit by the car.
Both drivers and their respective passengers were rushed to different hospitals. Survivors are still recovering from the incident, according to police. /kga
