Duterte declares holiday in Mindanao areas holding BOL plebiscite

MANILA, Philippines — President Rodrigo Duterte has declared January 21 a holiday in ARMM, Cotabato City and Isabela City in Basilan for the holding of a plebiscite to ratify the Bangsamoro Organic Law (BOL).
Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea said Duterte signed Proclamation 646 on January 10, to formalize the holiday in these areas. /jpv
