TROPICAL depression “Amang” weakened into a low pressure area (LPA), but will continue to affect parts of Visayas and Mindanao, the state-run weather bureau said on Tuesday morning.

All storm signals over Visayas and Mindanao have been lifted, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.

The LPA was seen 195 kilometers (km) east-northeast of Virac, Catanduanes.

Its trough or extension will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Camiguin, Misamis Oriental, Bukidnon, Northern Samar, and Bicol region.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rain will prevail over Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, and Romblon.

Meanwhile, the northeast monsoon or “Amihan” will continue to affect parts of Luzon.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers are expected over Nueva Ecija, Bataan, Pampanga, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, and the rest of Metro Manila.

Tarlac, Zambales, and Quezon are expected to have partly cloudy skies. JOVE MOYA
