Police arrest suspects in killing of QC barangay chair

MANILA, Philippines — The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) presented on Sunday the four suspects and five accomplices tagged in the killing of a barangay chairwoman in Quezon City.
The QCPD presented to media the suspects in the assassination of Barangay Bagong Silangan chairwoman Crisell Beltran.
QCPD Director Chief Supt. Joselito Esquivel Jr. identified the suspects as Teofilo Formanes, 48; brothers Ruel Juab, 38; Orlando Juab, 32; and Joppy Juab, 28.
Two other suspects remain at large, police said.
On Wednesday, Beltran was gunned down by motorcycle-riding gunmen. She is seeking a congressional seat in the upcoming May polls. /je
