NLEX Harbor Link Segment 10 opens on February 26

MANILA, Philippines – Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark Villar announced on Wednesday that the NLEX (North Luzon Expressway) Harbor Link Segment 10 will be open to the public starting February 26, 2019.
Villar made the announcement during the final inspection of the expressway early Wednesday.
“The NLEX Harbor Link Segment 10 will be a traffic game changer since this will drastically cut travel time from port area to NLEX,” Villar said.
“Once opened, around 30,000 vehicles daily will be diverted away from busy roads in Metro Manila,” he added.
The NLEX Harbor Link Segment 10 is a 5.65 kilometer expressway cutti8ng through the cities of Valenzuela, Malabon and Caloocan.
The next phase of the project is a 2.6 kilometer road that will connect C3 Road in Caloocan City to R10 in Navotas City.
Villar said that the next phase will be completed by the end of 2019. / gsg
