Senators, celebs mourn death of architect Bobby Mañosa

MANILA, Philippines — Politicians and celebrities posted messages on Twitter to pay tribute to National Artist for Architecture Francisco “Bobby” Mañosa, who died at the age of 88.

“RIP Bobby Manosa a great exponent of Philippine architecture and design,” Sen. Sonny Angara said.

Sen. JV Ejercito also tweeted: “With my deepest sympathies to the passing of a national artist, Bobby -Mañosa. Proud that our house was designed by him when he wasn’t a national artist then.”

Singer Lea Salonga said: “Rest In Peace, Tito Bobby, and condolences and prayers to the Mañosa family.”

Actress Mae Paner, or Juana Change, said: “RIP National Artist Architect Bobby Mañosa”

Mañosa’s notable works were the Coconut Palace, EDSA Shrine, the Davao Pearl Farm, and Amanpulo resorts. /atm
