THE Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) on Friday warned of heavy traffic in certain parts of the metropolis as several roads would undergo repairs starting 11 p.m. today until Monday morning.

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) said the southbound lanes of C-5 Road after Lanuza Avenue and in front of SM Aura would undergo reblocking.

The southbound lane of EDSA Ermin Garcia to Monte de Piedad, the third lane from the sidewalk, would also be closed for repairs.

Other roads under the DPWH’s jurisdiction that would be closed for repairs would include the first lane from the center island in Fairview Avenue Atherton to Regalado Avenue North and Ramon Magsaysay Boulevard (going to Cubao) and Ramon Magsaysay Bridge to Pureza Street.

Maynilad will also conduct restoration and concreting works along Commonwealth Avenue, near Riverside overpass, in Quezon City.

The MMDA advised motorists to avoid these areas and use alternate routes instead, until all affected roads would be fully passable by 5 a.m. on Monday.
