Manila Southwoods holds slim lead in 72nd PAL Interclub in Cebu

CEBU City: Defending champion Manila Southwoods finished with 125 for a one-point lead over Tagaytay Highlands after the first day of action in the 72nd PAL Interclub on Wednesday at the Cebu Country Club (CCC) here.
Southwoods’ stalwart Yuto Katsuragawa sizzled with an eagle-spiked one-under-par 71 worth 37 points to lead the Carmona-based squad.
Meanwhile, Marty Ilagan and Jolo Magcalayo towed Tagaytay Highlands with identical 33s.
Del Monte Golf Club tallied 122 followed by Luisita Golf and Country Club with 118 for third and fourth spots, respectively.
Action shifts to Mactan Island Golf Club for the second and third rounds before the winner will be decided in the exclusive CCC layout on Saturday, in the 72-hole annual championship organized by
