A sister of an alleged big time drug dealer was shot dead as she disembarked from a taxi in Cebu on Wednesday.

The fatality was identified by police as Janelyn Encila, 31, sister of Jocelyn Encila, of Barangay Labogon, Mandaue City. She was with her unidentified girlfriend when two suspects peppered her with bullets at Sitio Caimito at past 7 p.m.

Jocelyn Encila of Consolacion town, north Cebu was arrested in a buy-bust last Sunday.

Jocelyn was identified as the source of drug suspect Elymar Ancajas, who surrendered nine extra-large packs of shabu, weighing about 18 kilograms, which the Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) estimated to be P122.4 million.

Police said Jocelyn told the poseur buyer to get the shabu from her parents, Marcial and Marilyn, at the Green Valley Subdivision, in Barangay Casili, Consolacion.

Police seized five packs of shabu weighing 10 kilograms, which the DDB estimated to be at P68 million, from Encila’s parents.
