Janitor shoots fake cop dead

A 54-year-old man posing as a cop was shot dead by a janitor during a birthday party in Pasay City, Monday night.
Police identified the fatality as Larry Fortaleza, a resident of Barangay 189, Zone 20, Pasay City.
Police are still looking for the suspect, Rey Dongon, a janitor under the JRS Management Center Agency. He is detailed at Pioneer Highlands in Mandaluyong City.
Investigation showed that the incident occurred at around 8 p.m. on Twin Pioneer Street in Barangay 189, Zone 20, Don Carlos Village, Pasay City.
Police said that prior to the incident, Fortaleza entered the house of a certain Raulito Bisnar, who was hosting a birthday party, and allegedly introduced himself as a police officer.
Fortaleza had a heated argument with Dongon during which the latter pulled out a gun and shot the victim three times in the body.
Police said Dongon fled on foot after the incident.
Fortaleza was brought to Protacio Hospital but was declared dead on arrival. (Dhel Nazario)
