March 31: Araw ng Panabo
Last day of the 18th founding anniversary celebration in Panabo City, Davao del Norte province.
An anniversary concert and a culmination program close the weeklong festivities.
The agricultural city’s main products are banana and coconut.
April 1 to 7: Lang-Ay Festival
On its 15th year with the theme “Nurturing Culture and Traditions through Indigenous People’s Education,” the weeklong festival showcases Mountain Province’s culture and tourist destinations.
The word “lang-ay” came from the Bontoc people’s dialect, which means to share the happiness and nurture friendship.
Activities include a history and culture quiz bee, tech-voc education and training, indigenous games and trail ultramarathon.
April 5 to 7: Lubao International Balloon and Music Festival
The annual aeronautics festival at Lubao town in Pampanga province features an aerial show, balloon flight, food festival, rallycross and car show.
Spectators will enjoy live music from local artists, such as Moira dela Torre, Silent Sanctuary, Ben&Ben and Bamboo.
