AT least 44 villages or 152,000 households will not be paying their water bill for March after their concessionaire identified them as having been the “most severely affected” by the shortage.

In a statement, Manila Water said these villages would receive a one-time waiver under its one-time bill waiver program.

Below is a partial list:

Addition Hills in Mandaluyong
Barangka Drive in Mandaluyong
Plainview in Mandaluyong
Highway Hills in Mandaluyong
Hulo in Mandaluyong
Kapitolyo in Pasig
Bagong Ilog in Pasig
Oranbo in Pasig
Upper Bicutan in Taguig
Mambog in Binangonan

Manila Water said the waiver would be reflected in the April bill.

The first 10 cubic meters for households in villages which were supplied with water from other reservoirs during the shortage in March would be deducted from the bills they would be getting also in April.

The “full waiver does not apply to any previous unpaid amount of the customer,” the concessionaire said.
