Man shot dead in QC

A man was gunned down on a street in Barangay Payatas B, Quezon City Sunday night.
Quezon City Police District Station 6 (Batasan) chief Police Lt. Col. Joel Villanueva said the unidentified victim died on the spot due to bullet wounds in the head.
A witness residing near the crime scene told police she was talking with her relatives on the gate of their house at round 9 p.m. when she heard gunshots outside.
Upon checking, she saw the body of a man wearing a gray shirt and jersey shorts lying bloodied at the corner of Lower Molave St. and Diamond Hills.
According to the witness, a woman who was also at the crime scene asked help from her saying that the victim is her husband.
The witness advised the woman to report the incident to the police. However, she suddenly disappeared and never returned.
A concerned citizen immediately relayed the matter to authorities who are now investigating the incident.
The body of the victim was taken to St. Mark Funeral Services for safekeeping. (Alexandria San Juan)
