Games Thursday (Ynares Sports Arena, Pasig City)
12 noon – Metropac vs M. Pilipino
2 p.m. – Batangas-EAC vs Petron-Letran
4 p.m. – Che’Lu vs AMA

Go for Gold-St. Benilde extended its winning streak to four games and climbed into contention for a quarterfinals berth after routing AMA Online Education, 109-91, in the PBA D-League at the JCSGO Gym in Cubao.

Fil-American Roosevelt Adams continued his improved play by posting 21 points, 17 rebounds and five assists as the Scratchers improved to 5-3 and tie idle Petron-Letran for fourth place in the Aspirants Group.

Robi Nayve scored 19 points to lead four other Go for Gold players in double figures.

Coach Charles Tiu was pleased with the way his team has picked up its performance after things looked bleak for Go for Gold by dropping three of the season’s first four games.

A win on its final elimination round assignment against lowly McDavid on May 21 at the same venue could propel the Scratchers to the crossover quarterfinals.

The top four teams in both the Aspirants and Foundation Groups advance to the quarters.

Joshua Munzon scored 30 points and Frankie Johnson added 26 points but AMA dropped to 2-4, its chances of making the quarters continuing to dim.

Metropac-San Beda was playing City of Valencia-San Sebastian and Far Eastern University and Diliman College-Gerry’s Grill clashed in the other two games being played at presstime.
