MANILA mayoral candidates Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso and Alfredo Lim cast their votes in Tondo early Monday.
Lim arrived at the Rosauro Almario Elementary School in before 8 a.m.
He voted at polling precinct 60A, where the voters registration verification machine malfunctioned and the ballots were instead dropped in a sealed box.
Voters who saw Lim waved, cheered, took photos of and called him “Mayor! Mayor.”
He also belied rumors that he conceded to Domagoso and said in Filipino that the “fight would go on.”
The former Manila mayor is running against fellow octogenarian, incumbent Joseph Estrada, whom he lost to in the last two elections, and Domagoso, 44, who secured the endorsement of two religious institutions.
