Villar, ACT-CIS party-list keep lead in unofficial count of 97% poll returns

MANILA, Philippines — With 97% of election returns in, reelectionist senator Cynthia Villar has maintained her lead as well as the Erwin Tulfo-backed ACT-CIS party-list based on the latest partial and unofficial count of the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting-Inquirer (PPCRV-Inquirer) Transparency Server.

As of 6:20 p.m., data from the PPCRV-Inquirer Transparency Server showed Villar so far got 24,509,114 votes followed by fellow reelectionist senator Grace Poe with 21,426,018 votes.

Former Special Assistant to the President Christopher “Bong” Go (19,874,191 votes), Pia Cayetano (19,156,910 votes), and former Philippine National Police chief Ronald de la Rosa (18,263,881 votes) also retained their places in the top five of the senatorial race.

Senatorial candidates in the 6th to 12th slots were Sonny Angara (17,620,407 votes), Lito Lapid (16,476,675 votes), Imee Marcos (15,376,842 votes), Francis Tolentino (14,957,833 votes), Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. (14,167,528 votes), Koko Pimentel (14,156,067 votes), and Nancy Binay (14,130,611 votes).

Reelectionist senator JV Ejercito is still on the brink of losing his bid as he placed 13th with 13,882,914 votes. Highest-placing opposition candidate Bam Aquino was trailing behind with 13,772,052 votes at the 14th spot.

The numbers came from 97.48 percent of the total clustered precincts in the country.

Partylist race

Meanwhile, ACT-CIS was still in the lead in the party-list race with 2,550, 8872 votes followed by Bayan Muna with 1,086,603 votes.

Ako Bicol (1,022,777 votes) was at 3rd place, while Cibac (905,608 votes) and Ang Probinsyano (744,812 votes) were ranked 4th and 5th, respectively.

Party-list groups in top 6 to 10 were 1Pacman (696,536 votes), Marino (646,210 votes), Probinsyano Ako (614,454 votes), Senior Citizens (497,756 votes), and Magsasaka (480,410 votes). /kga
