Man kills wife’s lover in Negros

BACOLOD CITY – Jealousy drove a man to kill his wife’s new lover in Brgy. Cabacungan, La Castellana, Negros Occidental Saturday.
Killed was Mico Carmona, 37, of the said village.
Police said the suspect identified as Ronel de Ramos, 45, of the said village, waylaid the victim while he was on his way home.
De Ramos then allegedly stabbed the victim on his chest using a 13-inch kitchen knife, and fled.
The victim was with the suspect’s wife when it happened but she was unharmed as she was able to escape.
Carmona was found dead at a rice field in the said village while the suspect surrendered to the authorities two hours after the incident.
De Ramos also brought to the police the bladed weapon he used in the crime.
The victim and the suspect’s wife reportedly had a relationship for almost a year now after she got separated with the suspect in May 2018, police said.
Murder charges are being prepared against the suspect who is detained at La Castellana Municipal Police Station. (Glazyl Masculino)
