The PBA Commissioner’s Office suspended San Miguel Beer’s Ronald Tubid and Kelly Nabong three games each for their part in the infamous Spiderman incident that marred the recent Philippine Cup Finals.

Tubid and Nabong were also fined P75,000 apiece after the league made a thorough review of the scene where a man dressed in a Spiderman costume entered the court during Game 5 of the series held at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Also sanctioned were San Miguel assistant team manager Danby Henares and team doctor Ramon Ibanez who were both given a two-game ban and a fine of P50,000.

Henares and Ibanez were sanctioned based on evidences the Commissioner’s Office correlated in the aftermath of one of the strangest incidents in league history.

Tubid admitted and later apologized for punching the man later identified as Paolo Felizarta while being whisked away by Araneta security.

Nabong was seen by eyewitnesses in the aftermath of Felizarta’s arrest punching Flenn John Lola, who was initially suspected as an accomplice.

A certain Rayahn Paredes was also apprehended for punching Lola in the stands. Both Lola and Paredes were later released while Felizarta spent almost a week in prison before posting bail.
