Games Today (The Arena, San Juan City)
3 p.m. – Pacifictown Army vs Creamline
5 p.m. – BaliPure vs BanKo-Perlas

Pacifictown Army shoots for the third semifinal berth today when it battles Creamline in the Premier Volleyball League Season 3 Reinforced Conference at The Arena in San Juan City.

Match is at 3 p.m. with the Lady Troopers seeking their fifth win in nine games to join the Cool Smashers and the PetroGazz Angels into the next phase.

But it won’t be easy as the Cool Smashers have an agenda, too.

Led by Alyssa Valdez, Creamline is out to extend its winning run to eight games that will put them on level with PetroGazz.

The Angels are sporting a league-best 8-1 record – their only defeat was handed by the Cool Smashers.

Also going for the Cool Smashers is the fact that they beat the Lady Troopers in the first round, 25-21, 25-16, 25-18.

Army will continue to rely on Olena Lymareva-Flink and Jenelle Jordan’s hard-hitting plays.

Aside from Valdez, they also need to limit the production of Thai Kuttika Kaewpin and Ale Blanco – practically the same players who keyed the team’s 25-18, 21-25, 25-19, 26-24 victory over PetroGazz last weekend.

Meanwhile, BanKo-Perlas tries to keep its semis campaign alive when it tangles with BaliPure at 5 p.m.

The Perlas Spikers are running fifth with a 3-5 card following a 19-25, 23-25, 25-18, 25-22, 17-15 triumph over Motolite last Sunday, while BaliPure still searches for the elusive first win after eight failed attempts.
