Games Today (Muntinlupa Sports Center)
2:30 p.m. – Cignal vs Petron
4:30 p.m. – Foton vs PLDT

After losing to rival F2 Logistics, expect heavyweight Petron to come out firing when it tackles dangerous Cignal in the Philippine Superliga All-Filipino Conference today at the Muntinlupa Sports Center.

Action starts at 2:30 p.m. with the Blaze Spikers looking to get back on the winning track after suffering a 25-12, 17-25, 27-25, 25-19 loss to the Cargo Movers in the prestigious women’s club tourney bankrolled by Team Rebel Sports, SOGO, Eurotel, PCSO, Cocolife, UCPB Gen, Mueller, Senoh, Asics, Bizooku and One Sport.

Also seeking to regain its winning form is PLDT Home Fibr, which faces Foton in the second game at 4:30 p.m.

The Power Hitters were on a roll, but fell flat against the powerful performance of the HD Spikers in their previous match last Thursday.

With that, head coach Roger Gorayeb kept Power Hitters inside the locker room for a post-game huddle for nearly two hours, sparking talks that they would come out firing when they battle the taller, more seasoned Tornadoes side in this tourney that also has ESPN5 and Kapatid TV5 as broadcast partners.

Still, all eyes will be on Petron.

Filipino-American spiker Kalei Mau did most of damage for F2, erupting for 21 kills and two blocks to spearhead the Cargo Movers’ dominance at the attack zone, 49-25, and blocking department, 7-6.

But Petron coach Shaq Delos Santos is not yet ready to press the panic button.
