Jomary “The Zamboanginian Fighter” Torres and Jihin “Shadow Cat” Radzuan are ready to steal the show at ONE: MASTERS OF DESTINY.

With both warriors looking for bounce-back victories, expect nothing but the best from the pair when they enter the ONE Championship ring inside the Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Friday, 2 August.

The 23-year-old Torres said that she is in the best shape of her life after an intensive training camp which took her from the Catalan Fighting System gym in Makati to Indonesia.

As she looks to salvage a three-bout losing skid, she knows there isn’t any other way to approach this match-up.

“This is one of the best training camps I’ve had. Everyone in the gym helped me out with the challenge I’m facing in Malaysia,” Torres said.

“I feel like this is the fight where I can truly showcase my best, cause I know the true meaning of dedication and hard work. I am so focused right now. I am in great shape, both physically and mentally. I think this is the best I’ve felt since I started martial arts.”

Like Torres, Jihin also reeked of confidence, as she has fulfilled the necessary preparations to come away with a win.

Coming off a decision loss to Gina “Conviction” Iniong at ONE: CLASH OF LEGENDS last February, “Shadow Cat” knows that she has to level up if she wants to hurdle the Filipina.

“I’m pretty well-equipped going into this match against Jomary, and I know there’s something extra I need to do to get a win,” she said.

“I’ve worked hard, and I believe I can finish Jomary off in the Axiata Arena. It could be a knockout or a submission. I’m confident in my abilities.”

The key for Jihin is not being too complacent, despite Torres’ recent struggles.

“My head coach Melvin Yeoh told me that I can defeat Torres, but we’re not going to underestimate what she can bring in the fight,” the Malaysian added.

Torres is likewise wary of her opponent’s capabilities, but she has no doubt in her mind as to who will win on Friday evening.

“I know how dangerous of an opponent Jihin is, and I don’t want to be complacent against her. I worked on everything in my game and I’m ready to show it this Friday,” she said. “I know she’s hungry for a win, but she’ll be facing the best Jomary Torres on Friday.”
