Petron guns for a ninth straight win while Cignal hopes to recover from a recent defeat when they go up against separate foes tomorrow (Tuesday) in the Philippine Superliga All Filipino Conference at the Muntinlupa Sports Center.

The Blaze Spikers square off with winless Marinerang Pilipina Lady Skippers at 4:15 p.m. while the HD Spikers tangle with the PLDT Home Fibr Power Hitters at 7 p.m.

A victory for Petron would improve its 10-1 win-loss tally and strengthen its hold of the second spot behind pacesetter F2 Logistics (11-0).

Petron is fresh from an easy 25-13, 25-10, 25-13 triumph over Sta. Lucia last week.

Offense will once again be anchored on hard-hitting spiker Sisi Rondina as the Blaze Spikers prepare for their second round showdown with the Cargo Movers – the squad that dealt them their first defeat.

Young and without go-to-guy spikers, the Marinerang Pilipinas have yet to win in 12 matches.

In the other pairing Cignal tries to move on from a stinging 26-24, 19-25, 26-24, 18-25, 16-14 loss to Generika Ayala that halted its three-game winning run and slipped to fifth place with a 6-7 record.

The HD Spikers will bank on Rachel Daquis and Fil-American Alohi Robins-Hardy, who combined for 35 points the last time, to get back on the winning track.

Cignal coach Edgar Barroga also eyes Mylene Paat and Jovelyn Gonzaga to provide reinforcement.

But PLDT also has its own agenda of hiking its 4-7 tally at sixth place, looking for consistency in following up its recent 25-16, 25-23, 25-20 win over Marinerang Pilipina.
