TYPHOON “Hanna,” with international name “Lekima,” left the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) at 12:30 a.m. on Friday although the enhanced southwest monsoon would continue to bring rains and gusty conditions over most parts of Luzon and Visayas, the state-run weather bureau said.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) last spotted Hanna at 645 kilometers north-northeast of Basco, Batanes, outside PAR, and was moving in a north-northwest direction at a speed of 20 kph. It has slightly weakened, carrying maximum sustained winds of 175 kilometers per hour (kph) and gustiness of 215 kph.

Moderate to heavy monsoon rains are expected over Batanes, Babuyan Islands, Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Zambales, Bataan, Occidental Mindoro and northern Palawan including Cuyo and Calamian Islands.
