Ceres-Negros out to pad PFL lead vs Mendiola FC

Ceres-Negros hopes to extend its lead in the Philippines Football League when it battles Mendiola FC 1991 on Saturday at the Aboitiz Pitch in Lipa City, Batangas.
OJ Porteria is out to shine anew for Ceres-Negros.
The three-peat seeking Busmen go for their ninth straight victory in the match set at 4 p.m. in order to tighten their grip on the top spot over second-running Kaya-Iloilo.
Ceres is coming off a 1-0 win over Kaya last weekend courtesy of a first-half goal from OJ Porteria.
Negros has 25 points after nine matches, three off Kaya and seven above Stallion-Laguna and Green Archers United.
Mendiola, in fifth place with 10 points, enters the match as heavy underdogs will try to gain a favorable result despite the odds.
Stallion plays Global-Makati in Saturday’s other match in Lipa at 7 p.m.
Kaya, meanwhile, takes on Air Force in Sunday’s lone game at the Binan Football Stadium in Laguna. Kickoff is set at 3:30 p.m.
