Shaw customers in Surrey remain without internet, television and phone services for at least a second day, as crews work to repair fibre damage in the area.

The problem was reported some time late Monday or early Tuesday, with some customers reporting outage issues on Monday evening.

Shaw crews were sent to investigate early Tuesday and have continued working Tuesday overnight into Wednesday to repair the outage.

“Damage to fibre in the area has unfortunately resulted in some customers in North Delta, South Westminster, Bridgeview, Guildford, St. Helens Park and the surrounding areas of Surrey experiencing interruptions to their internet, television and home phone services,” according to the latest update shared by Shaw at 8:17 a.m. on Wednesday.

“Our technical crews are onsite working to repair the damage and restore service as quickly as possible. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.”

Services affected by the outage include both home and business internet, home and business phone service, digital TV, Video on Demand, Gateway, BlueSky TV, and wifi access points.

It is unknown when service will be restored or how many customers have been affected.

Postmedia has reached out to Shaw for more details.

More to come.
