Fluid spill causes morning closure of Highway 1 in North Vancouver

Highway 1 was reopened Monday morning after a fluid spill in North Vancouver.
The westbound lanes of Highway 1 between Mountain Highway to Lynn Valley Road were closed on Monday morning, causing traffic to back up all the way across the Ironworkers span during the morning rush hour. While eastbound lanes remained open, drivers were told to expect delays.
The lanes were reopened just after 9 a.m. No further details were released on what material was spilled.
