Sunshine Coast woman charged in husband's death

A Sunshine Coast woman was charged last week in the death of her husband.
RCMP were called to a home in the 10900-block of Sunshine Coast Highway on Aug. 21 after neighbours found Max Fischer, 79, dead in his home.
First-responders found what appeared to be suspicious injuries on Fischer’s body and the death was deemed a homicide. RCMP then called the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team to handle the probe, and an arrest was made the same day.
On Aug. 22, Fischer’s wife Karin, 54, was charged with second-degree murder. Both are German citizens.
