Police investigating fatal single-car crash on remote Chilliwack road

Chilliwack RCMP are investigating after one person was killed in a single-car crash on a remote road.

Around 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday, police were called to a section of Chilliwack Lake Road after a vehicle was found crashed into a tree.

Officers found one occupant inside the vehicle; the person was declared dead at the scene.

Traffic investigators were on site Tuesday morning and were scheduled to remain throughout the day.

The identity of the deceased is not being released pending notification of family.
