Bong Go warns of dire consequences for convicted drug lords at NBP

Pro-administration Sen. Christopher Lawrence “Bong” T. Go warned yesterday rich drug lords serving time at the New Bilibid Prison in Muntinlupa City to cease their illegal practices “or else they will suffer dire consequences.’’

Go said that instead of dextrose, these drug lords would be given another so they would go directly to the morgue.

The former Special Assistant to the President noted in last Thursday’s public hearing by the Senate Blue Ribbon and Justice Committees that drug lords are taking advantage of the “hospital pass for sale” scheme to escape jail congestion and conduct their drug deals inside the NBP Hospital.

Go said that some high-profile prisoners are bribing officials of the Bureau of Corrections in order to be admitted and confined at the national penitentiary hospital where they continue their criminal activities.

They stay at the NBP hospital feigning sicknesses and stay there for months, traffic the flow of illegal drugs outside the prison premises through cell phones illegally brought in by their confederates and even hold parties with local and foreign women, and other conduct other illegal activities.
