Okada Manila fetes top accounts and confers first icon awards

OKADA Manila, the Philippines’ largest integrated resort, recently feted its top corporate accounts with a gala dinner marking the launch of its client recognition program, the Icon Awards. The top management of Okada Manila, spearheaded by its Co-Vice Chairman and President Takashi Oya came in full force to give support to the event. According to Cielo Ortega-Reboredo, Okada Manila’s vice president for Sales and Marketing, Hospitality and Entertainment Division, “This is a milestone occasion as we launch the Icon Awards – a way of honoring our beloved clients who chose and continue to mount their iconic events in Okada Manila.”
Since Okada Manila’s opening in 2016, the integrated resort has been expanding its product offerings, further increasing its clientele base who have chosen Okada Manila as their venue for grand corporate and social events and milestone celebrations. Under the 2019 Icon Awards, Okada Manila presented its top corporate accounts in Events and Room Sales, as well the first clients under socials and corporate. A special recognition award was also given to its online travel agency (OTA) partners.
It was also a night of music and pure entertainment as Okada Manila’s 2019 Icon Awards adopted the theme “An Evening on Broadway” which featured various stellar Broadway musical performances. The multi-awarded talents of World Championships of Performing Arts (WCOPA) Team Philippines gave a sensational number over dinner with their take on Broadway hits. This was followed by an outstanding repertoire from popular thespians Isay Alvarez and Robert Sena who were part of the original cast members of the Miss Saigon play in the United Kingdom accompanied by amazing theater performers and culminated with a special number from the Okada Manila Entertainment Group. Other featured artists included the Glass Onion Band, singer Elle Ada and guest performer Keith Martin.
