THE National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) postponed all basketball games scheduled today, Tuesday, because of the suspension of classes.

“Due to the suspension of classes by Manila and other LGU’s, the games scheduled for today, Tuesday, 17 September 2019, are cancelled and shall be played on a date to be determined later,” said NCAA management committee chairman Peter Cayco of Season 95 host Arellano University.

Manila and 13 other cities in the National Capital Region suspended because of bad weather.

It was the fifth time this Season 95 that the NCAA has canceled games. The league postponed four playdates last month.

Affected by the suspension was the game featuring the streaking San Sebastian College-Recoletos (7-3) against University of Perpetual Help Sytem DALTA (3-7) at 12 noon.

Also canceled were the games pitting Mapua University (4-6) and Jose Rizal University (4-7) versus the skidding squads College of St. Benilde (6-4) at 2 p.m. and Arellano University (2-9) at 4 p.m., respectively.

All three games in the juniors division were postponed as well. JEREMIAH M. SEVILLA
