Police Lt. Col. Kim Molitas told a press briefing on Tuesday that the investigation into the attack on a military camp at the Alfa Company, 35th Infantry Battalion in Indanan in early September was ongoing.

The military tagged Abu Sayyaf leader Hadjan Sawadjaan’s faction as being behind the attack where the bomber was the lone fatality.

Citing the findings of the PNP Crime Laboratory, Molitas said a “partial female DNA profile” was found in 20 human tissues, and flesh and bone specimen that were recovered from the blast site.

Remaining specimens and extracted DNA material are currently at the Region 11 Crime Laboratory Office in Davao City. DARWIN PESCO
